How do I know Counseling is for me?
People pursue counseling for many different reasons. At WCW we seek to help clients find the tools that will help them make lasting changes to flourish in their lives.

What is the goal of WCW?
To provide a safe and comfortable space for individuals to work through life's challenges, in a way that produces meaningful and lasting change. We hope this can be a place of healing and hope, where individuals can feel truly known and supported as they create new paths forward.

How to get scheduled?

Once you are an established client, you will be able to schedule and manage your own appointments

What is the price per session and how many sessions will I need?
$160- Fully Licensed Therapist
$90- Practicum/Intern Student
50-60 minutes
We believe that each client’s situation is unique and therefore the number of sessions will collaboratively be determined.

Will my insurance cover any of it?
Some of our therapists accept insurance from United Healthcare and Aetna.
If you are out of network, many insurance providers may still reimburse a majority of the fees associated with mental healthcare. Call your provider to learn more if this option may be the solution for you.

What is your cancellation policy?
Due to our therapist's full client load and potential waitlist for sessions, we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a session is missed or canceled less than 24 hours prior to the start of session, the client is responsible for the full session fee. There are some exceptions for emergencies, illness, etc.

How do I select a therapist?
Although we are confident in all our therapists and believe that they are competent to serve their unique clients, we do recommend that you read through their bios, consider their frequently treated areas and their different approaches, as well as their fees. Once you have requested an appointment they will get back to you regarding their availability.

What makes the counseling relationship unique?
Therapy is designed to transpire within clearly defined professional boundaries where the client and therapist cultivate a safe space for growth and healing to take place. This is a professional relationship where confidentiality is legally required and honored.

What to know before you arrive for your first appointment?
You will receive an email from your therapist that includes important information about parking and how to check-in once you get to the office.

How to determine if I should do telehealth or in-person sessions?
We believe that there is value either in virtual or in-person ways to participate in therapy. Therefore, you and your therapist will collaboratively decide if Telehealth is a good option for you.

What is the benefit of telehealth sessions?
Participating in therapy virtually provides you the flexibility of doing therapy from the comfort of your own home or in your office over your lunch break. This platform will possibly allow you to save time and offer you the opportunity to incorporate therapy into your daily schedule in an easier way. If Telehealth is a good fit for you, it is important that you have access to internet, and a quiet and private space.

From time to time there are specific situations that your therapist will discuss with you where we recommend in-person therapy for the type of therapy that a client needs.
